EmpowerLit – Literacy & Beyond is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children and teens discover their potential through reading, writing and mental resilience. Through author visits and immersive literacy experiences, EmpowerLit helps young people build literacy skills, confidence and self-esteem while encouraging them to find and share their own voices.
Lowcountry Food Bank works to fight food insecurity by providing access to nutritious food for children, families, seniors and veterans throughout the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina. Through a network of more than 240 partner agencies, the organization helps provide food and resources to more than 200,000 people each year.
